Confused by all the options in Office 365? Skype, Yammer, Teams, SharePoint
Cloud tools are developing quickly and so have the range of features & tools available within each of them. They are built to make our lives easier, however, with this frequent change, they can also bring a lot of confusion & disorder between your users.
Providing people with access across too many software tools may mean they’ll use each of them improperly or not use them at all.
Don’t let the demon of ‘shadow IT’ creep into your business by letting staff members go off and find their own familiar, often insecure consumer-style tools. Why not instead give them the strategy & training on the right tools that best fit the needs of your business?
Let’s take an overview of Microsoft Teams
Joining a long-line of communication and collaboration tools; Teams is Microsoft’s flagship platform as the single answer to a multitude of business software needs.
Operating as a single ‘pane of glass’, users can access instant messaging, share files, run calendars, hold video conferences, access intranet-style information wikis and view notes all within the one desktop application or online app.
By consolidating to Microsoft Teams, you won’t need to look back on the days of switching between a multitude of apps, losing track of where files are or feeling weighed down by a ton of emails.
A quite exciting, but totally understandable statistic is showing Teams to be already outstripping all previous Microsoft products to be their fastest growing platform yet! The simplicity, combined with an all-in-one approach, has captured the crowds looking for a 365-backed alternative, to the likes of Slack.
Teams is available on most of Office 365 subscriptions at no extra cost. Most of the core features are available as standard, however, there are additional features such as the embedded phone system, which can carry additional fees.
Lost among a multitude of tools and resources?
If you are sinking in the sand of far too many software options and need a straight-forward solution, Teams might well be the best answer for you.
